Declarations to start your day . . .
Almighty God, there is no one like you in all the earth. (Exodus 9:14)
As for You, God, Your way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. Psalm 30:18 “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.”
You are the Rock. Your work is perfect. All your ways are … Read More and Comment
There are Many Who Need a Rescue
Recently during a worship service, the Lord spoke to me and said, “There are many who need a rescue, but they aren’t asking Me.” Several questions went through my mind immediately.
Are individuals not aware they need a rescue? Do they believe that what’s wrong in their life doesn’t qualify as a rescue? Lord, if they’re aware they need a rescue, why aren’t they asking for one? Is … Read More and Comment
It’s Time to Move Forward
Often times, almost without knowing it, we lose momentum or get a little off track. Hebrews 12:1 says it this way, “…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
Our choices can propel us forward or hold us back. We make choices daily and lots of those choices shape our … Read More and Comment
Putting You in Place
Over a year ago, the Lord said to me that He was going to physically relocate people to put them in place for what He is about to do.
Are You a Match?
Sunday during the second service at church, I heard the voice of God say that He was calling people into service that were not listening. Not aware He was waiting for them. I saw a dominoes game. The … Read More and Comment
Feeling “Not Good Enough”
We are a culture that goes after image. Every television commercial we see reminds us we are not good enough, our computer isn’t fast enough, our phone isn’t new enough – that we’re lacking something. When we are bombarded with messages constantly telling us we are not okay, it’s hard not to absorb it. We accept that image of what the ideal should be and feel we are missing out.

Where is God in Your Story ?
Each of us has a unique story with God. It was written before we were ever born according to Psalm 139. God doesn’t write the same story for everyone. Apparently, He hasn’t worked for Hallmark.
Each of us has a story and each of us is on a journey. We don’t always see that we are part of God’s story or see God in our story. … Read More and Comment
Joshua’s Response to Entitlement
Notice how Joshua responded to the request from Manasseh and Ephraim. First, to the claim that they were numerous and especially significant and therefore needed more space, Joshua responded,
15 “If you are so numerous,” Joshua answered, “and if the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go up into the forest and clear land for yourselves there in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites.”

Entitlement in scripture!
A sense of entitlement is not something new. Joshua deals with it in Joshua 17.
It’s the time of the disbursement of the land to the various tribes of Israel. The land was distributed by lot (like drawing names from a hat). The leaders believed that God determined who received what parcel of land.
The tribe of Manasseh felt they were entitled to more and than they were originally given. In Verse … Read More and Comment
We Fight the Rescue –
On the Ransomed Heart app, I read the following recently: “The challenge God faces is rescuing a people who have no idea how captive they are: no real idea how desperate they are. We know we long for Eden, but we hesitate to give ourselves back to God in abandoned trust. We are captivated by the lies of our enemy.”
It’s so easy to get caught believing lies of the … Read More and Comment
All of us try to shift blame away from ourselves. Why do we do it? Our tendency to blame is connected to our beliefs about failure and punishment.
When we talk about being powerful people, we come into direct opposition when we blame, which is to project out responsibility rather than to understand that responsibility starts right here.
Classically we end up avoiding any evidence of failure in our life because once failure … Read More and Comment
